Biography
Alex Williams joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Board of Directors in 2023. He is chairman, chief executive officer and president of Halstead Bank in Halstead, Kansas and is a fifth-generation banker.
Mr. Williams currently serves on the Kansas Bankers Association state affairs and federal affairs committees and the Kansas Council on Economic Education.
He received his undergraduate degree in Economics from Kansas State University in 1995 and earned his master’s degree from the London School of Economics in 2001. He is also a graduate of the Bank Leaders of Kansas program and the Graduate School of Banking in Wisconsin.
