Steve Maestas was appointed deputy chair of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City Board of Directors on Jan. 1, 2017. Prior to this role, Mr. Maestas served as chair of the Kansas City Board of Directors from 2015-2016. Mr. Maestas is the Chief Executive Officer of Maestas Development Group based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The firm is responsible for the development of commercial real estate projects throughout the Southwest. He is also the Founder and Chairman of Maestas & Ward Real Estate. A company that grew to be the largest commercial real estate management and brokerage firm in New Mexico. He has over 25 years’ experience in the commercial real estate field with a deep knowledge and understanding of the industry.
Mr. Maestas has been recognized by New Mexico Business Weekly as one of New Mexico’s Top Performing CEO’s and one of the State’s Top Rainmakers.
Mr. Maestas previously served as a member of the Economic Advisory Council and is the Past Chair of Albuquerque Economic Development, a Trustee for Albuquerque Community Foundation and is a member of Young Presidents Organization.
He resides in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque with his wife Debbie and daughter Addison.
