Michael Collins was appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Economic Advisory Council on July 1, 2015. Collins serves as the president and chief executive officer of Port KC in Kansas City, Mo. Port KC is responsible redeveloping 150 acres of waterfront along the Missouri River, creating intermodal inland port facilities and enhancing river borne freight along the Missouri River.
Collins chairs the Board of Trustees at Park University and serves on the boards of KC SmartPort, Inland Rivers, Ports and Terminal and The First Tee of Greater Kansas City.
Collins has a degree in political science from Park University, a Master of Business Administration from Rockhurst University. He has attended postgraduate work at Harvard University Kennedy School of Government.
