Brian Esch joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Omaha Branch Board of Directors in January 2013.
Since 2005, Brian Esch has served as the president/CEO of MNB Bank in McCook, Neb. During his banking career, which started at McCook National Bank in 1985, Mr. Esch has served as loan review officer, compliance officer, agricultural and commercial lending officer, and senior loan officer. He also serves as a board member of MNB Bank, MNB Insurance Services, Inc., and the holding company, MNB Financial Group, Inc.
Mr. Esch has been an active member of the Nebraska Bankers Association. He has served on the Board of Directors, and other committees, and is a past Chairman of NBA BankPAC. Mr. Esch also served on the board of Bankers’ Bank of the West for four years including one year as chairman, and he currently is a member of the BBW loan committee.
Mr. Esch has been an active supporter of his community through leadership, volunteerism and board service. He was elected to the McCook Public School Board beginning in 2015. He is an active member and past president of the McCook Optimist Club and has been a volunteer coach for many youth teams. He served as chairman of the Community Hospital Board of Directors and as a member of the Community Hospital Health Foundation Board of Directors. Other service includes: member of Leadership McCook, past treasurer of St. John Lutheran Church, past treasurer and board member of McCook Main Street Coalition, and various committees of the McCook Area Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Esch opens himself up for criticism on Friday nights when he officiates high school football games, which he has done for 32 years.
Mr. Esch holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. He is also a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado.
