Craig Zahnd is senior vice president, general counsel, ethics officer, and chief compliance officer for the Bank. He leads the Bank's Legal, Governance, and Public Affairs Division and serves on the Bank's Management Committee.
Mr. Zahnd joined the Bank in November 2019 and has nearly 30 years of legal experience. He previously served as managing director and general counsel of Reinsurance Americas at Swiss Re. In this role, he managed a team of attorneys on a variety of legal and regulatory matters for the Americas entities, including analysis of reinsurance laws and regulations, employment law, corporate governance, contracts, and compliance. Prior to joining Swiss Re, he worked for General Electric Company, where he held a variety of positions including vice president and associate general counsel.
Mr. Zahnd holds a B.A. degree in business management from William Jewell College and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
