Tenth District Manufacturing Growth in Activity Remained Steady in July

The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City released the July Manufacturing Survey today. According to Cortney Cowley, assistant vice president and Oklahoma City Branch executive, the survey revealed that growth in business activity in the Tenth District manufacturing sector remained steady, while expectations for future activity remained expansionary.

“District manufacturing activity continued to expand in July, and about half of firms expect demand to be higher for the rest of the year,” said Cowley. “Although growth in input prices eased slightly from last month, a majority of firms reported decreases in their profit margins since the beginning of the year.”

A summary of the July survey is below. The June survey incorporates new seasonal adjustment factors using Census X-13 ARIMA-SEATS, so historical indexes differ slightly from previously released numbers. The new seasonal factors will be used throughout 2026.
