Moving individuals and families towards financial self-sufficiency is a prime goal of Nebraska's workforce efforts. Workers, however, face many barriers on this journey. Join regional leaders for an engaging session focused on hiring strategies that drive retention, results, and workforce resilience. Participants will learn how new tools from the Federal Reserve can support skills-based hiring practices and identify ways to leverage public supports to attract workers for in-demand jobs.
Participants will engage with:
- Tools to support skills-based hiring and close the talent gap
- A breakdown of how public benefits intersect with job quality, and what employers can do to help workers over the 'benefit cliff'
- Table-top discussions to share effective practices and insights
