Cassandra R. Savage joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Board of Directors in 2021.  She previously served on the Economic Advisory Council.  She is the president of The Savage Group, LLC and the owner and operator of nine restaurants in the Kansas City area. 

Ms. Savage began her career with McDonald’s as a registered applicant and has been an owner and operator since 2001.  Ms. Savage has held several leadership positions with McDonald’s.  These roles include serving as an at large member of the Heart of America Executive Board and as president of the Heartland Chapter of the Women’s Operator Network.  She also served the Network as West Zone representative with primary responsibility for the chapters in the Heartland, Chicago, Midwest, Indianapolis and Houston regions.  She has been a representative on the Heartland Region National Pricing Strategy Advisory Group, as well as secretary and treasurer of the Heartland National Black McDonald’s Operator Association.  Ms. Savage also held team lead positions for both the Heartland Region People and Profit teams.

In addition to the various leadership roles held with McDonald’s, Ms. Savage is actively involved in several organizations within her community and the Kansas City area.  Prior to becoming a McDonald’s franchisee, Ms. Savage’s professional career consisted of experience in the areas of education, marketing and public relations.  She is originally from Chicago, Illinois and received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.  Ms. Savage has held various management positions within the education sector, and with IBM where she received numerous awards for outstanding performance and service.
