The Kansas City Fed is excited to bring back Pop-Up Tours at the Money Museum this summer.

Pop-Up Tours are free, 45-minute tours led by Kansas City Fed employees. Each tour focuses on the Museum’s exhibits as well as the functions and history of the Kansas City Fed.

“Our exhibit highlights are the Harry S. Truman Coin Collection, gold bar and viewing into cash processing and the vault,” said Money Museum coordinator Elizabeth Hartzler.

Hartzler’s favorite item in the Museum is the $100,000 note, the largest denomination bill printed in the United States. According to Hartzler, the bill is rare to see because it is illegal for private collectors to own.

“The Museum is a unique and free experience located close to many other beloved KC attractions like the National WWI Museum and Memorial,” Hartzler said. “It’s a great place to beat the heat, keep the learning going even while on summer break, and have a ton of fun along the way.”

How to Visit

Tours are for walk-in guests only and do not require a reservation to attend. For guests 18 and older, bring a valid photo ID to gain access to the Museum.
