Kara Bemboom is senior vice president and chief of staff. She leads the Public Affairs, Outreach, and Communications Division and serves on the Bank's Executive Leadership Council.
Ms. Bemboom joined the Bank in 2002 as an analyst in the Human Resources Department following internships with the Bank. In 2003, she left the Bank to pursue her law degree. She returned in 2010 as counsel attorney and was appointed assistant vice president in 2012. She was promoted to vice president and associate general counsel in 2017 and senior vice president and chief of staff in 2023. She also previously served as secretary to the Bank's Board of Directors.
Ms. Bemboom holds a B.A. degree in Finance/Economics and Philosophy from Rockhurst University and a J.D. degree from the University of Kansas.
