Mariia Dzholos is a Research Associate at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. She joined the Economic Research Department in 2024 after graduating from Middlebury College with a BA degree in Economics. Mariia supports A. Lee Smith and Johannes Matschke with the research on the effects of expanding and unwinding the Federal Reserve’s balance sheet and the international transmission of financial shocks. Mariia is interested in studying the impact of monetary policy and its communication on economic conditions.
