The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City released the December Manufacturing Survey today. According to Cortney Cowley, assistant vice president and Oklahoma City Branch executive, the survey revealed that Tenth District manufacturing grew further, and expectations for future activity remained positive.
“Growth in regional factory activity cooled in December, as production and employment fell slightly,” said Cowley. “Looking ahead, sentiment for future activity remains positive, but the outlook for capital expenditures in 2026 is mixed."
A summary of the December survey is below. The December survey incorporates new seasonal adjustment factors using Census X-13 ARIMA-SEATS, so historical indexes differ slightly from previously released numbers. The new seasonal factors will be used throughout 2025.
