The federal bank regulatory agencies — the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency — will hold an in-person and virtual public outreach meeting on October 30, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri as part of their review of regulations. The Economic Growth and Regulatory Paperwork Reduction Act (EGRPRA) requires the agencies, with input from the public, to review their regulations at least once every 10 years to identify any outdated or otherwise unnecessary regulatory requirements applicable to certain supervised institutions.
The outreach meeting is an opportunity for interested stakeholders to present their views on the regulatory categories listed in any of the four External LinkFederal Register notices:
- Applications and Reporting; Powers and Activities; International Operations
- Consumer Protection; Directors, Officers, and Employees; Money Laundering
- Rules of Procedure; Safety and Soundness; Securities
- Banking Operations; Capital; Community Reinvestment Act
The meeting will begin at 8:45 a.m. CT and conclude by 12 p.m. CT. An agenda will be available closer to the event.
The meeting will be held in-person at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City located at 1 Memorial Drive Kansas City, MO 64198.
A virtual attendance option is available.
Individuals interested in providing oral comments must External Linkregister by October 22, 2025, and indicate the regulatory category or categories they would like to discuss as well as their in-person or virtual attendance preference. The agencies will notify those individuals selected to provide comments.
All prospective speakers and in-person attendees must register in advance. Advance registration is not required to observe virtually. Additional details, including a link to virtually attend the meeting if not providing comments, will be available on the EGRPRA website under the External Linkoutreach page.
The agencies will announce additional public meetings in the coming months.
