Biography
Diane Stinton joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Omaha Branch Board of Directors in 2026.
Dr. Stinton is the chief executive officer of TMCO (Total Manufacturing Company), a second-generation, family-owned contract metal manufacturing firm founded in 1974 by her father, Roland Temme. Under her leadership, TMCO serves a diverse range of industries and is recognized for innovative workforce practices and strong community engagement. In 2023, she also founded Anchovy, a food technology startup.
A strong advocate for manufacturing and workforce development, Dr. Stinton serves as the Lincoln area director for Dream It Do It! Nebraska and founded the Lincoln Manufacturing Council in cooperation with the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development. She serves on several community and regional boards, including the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce Board, the University of Nebraska President’s Advisory Committee, the Greater Lincoln Area Workforce Board, Community Development Resources, and Educare.
Dr. Stinton is frequently invited to speak on workforce development, diversity, immigration and refugee issues, and early childhood education. TMCO has received numerous awards for its community impact and employee-focused programs, including being named Nebraska’s Manufacturer of the Year in 2023 by the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce. In 2020, Dr. Stinton was honored with the Inspire Award for Excellence in Business.
Dr. Stinton was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in German from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, with minors in sociology and international studies. She also holds a Bachelor of Music, Master of Philosophy, and Doctor of Philosophy from Bangor University in North Wales, United Kingdom.
