Timothy R. Murphy was appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Economic Advisory Council on Jan. 1, 2021. He is the executive chairman at Murphy-Hoffman Company, where he served as chief executive officer from 1989 to 2017.
Mr. Murphy has more than four decades of experience in the trucking industry and has served on numerous supplier councils in the heavy-duty industry. He also serves on the Board of Directors of UMB Bank.
Mr. Murphy graduated from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ala., with a bachelor’s degree in business. He served on the Spring Hill College Board of Trustees from 2006 to 2016.
