Patrick Goebel was appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Economic Advisory Council on Jan. 1, 2025. Patrick has been president of Star Lumber & Supply since 2010.
Star Lumber is an 85-year-old family-owned building material distributor with over 425 employees serving residential and commercial construction contractors throughout the region with locations in Wichita, Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Manahttan (KS). Star operates several manufacturing operations including two truss plants, a countertop fabrication shop, door shops as well as a custom millwork shop. Star also installs new construction residential and commercial flooring throughout the region.
Patrick earned his degree in accounting from Kansas State University and an executive master’s degree in business from Wichita State University. In addition to serving on Star Lumber’s board Patrick also is board chair of Exploration Place Science & Discovery Center, treasurer of Pathway Insurance Company and serves on a number of advisory boards in education and industry groups. Patrick has been married for over 30 years and has five children and two grandchildren.
