David Nimmo was appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Economic Advisory Council on Jan. 1, 2024. David was appointed as a Director of Chickasaw Nation Industries, Inc. (CNI) by Governor Bill Anoatubby in 2025 after his retirement from CNI in March of that year. David served as President/CEO of CNI from February of 2011 until his retirement. Prior to 2011 he served CNI as its General Counsel. From 1992 until joining CNI, David served the Chickasaw Nation as one of its General Counsels, providing support for its non-gaming businesses, which included the creation of CNI.
David was in the private practice of law in Ada, Oklahoma from 1977 until joining CNI in 2005. He served the State of Oklahoma as an Associate District Judge in the late 1980s.
In addition to serving on the Economic Advisory Council, David serves on various boards, including: the Cleveland County Economic Development Coalition; Norman Regional Health System; Oklahoma Academy for State Goals; and is the past president of the Norman Chamber of Commerce.
