Denise I. Connor is executive vice president for the Information Technology and Customer Support (ITCS) Division. She also serves as the Tenth District's chief information officer. Ms. Connor is a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City's Management Committee, which is responsible for strategic planning and policy direction.
Ms. Connor joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in 1987 as an intern. She rejoined the Bank full-time in 1988 and was promoted to assistant vice president in 1998. In 2000, she was named vice president to establish the Central Check User Support function as part of the System's check standardization initiative. She assumed additional responsibilities for other check IT support functions in 2005, and the Check Automation Services function was created that year to recognize this expanded role. From 2008 through 2012, Ms. Connor led the planning, execution, and successful implementation of a new electronic check platform. In 2011, Ms. Connor assumed oversight for the IT functions associated with ACH including oversight for the Program to modernize the System's ACH processing platform. As senior vice president and chief information officer for the Federal Reserve System's Retail Product Office (RPO), she had oversight for the technology platforms, functions, and projects supporting both ACH and Check payments that are processed and settled by the Federal Reserve. She also served as a member of the RPO's Senior Leadership Team. She was named to her current position in April 2021.
Ms. Connor holds an MBA in finance, a Bachelor of Journalism, and an Associate Bachelor in Economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
