Denise I. Connor is Executive Vice President of the Information Technology (IT) Division. She also serves as the Tenth District's Chief Information Officer. Ms. Connor is a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City's Management Committee, which is responsible for strategic planning and policy direction.
Ms. Connor joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in 1987 as an intern. She rejoined the Bank full-time in 1988 and was promoted to Assistant Vice President in 1998. In 2000, she was named Vice President to establish the Central Check User Support function as part of the System's check standardization initiative. She assumed additional responsibilities for other check IT support functions in 2005, and the Check Automation Services function was created that year to recognize this expanded role. From 2008 through 2012, Ms. Connor led the planning, execution, and successful implementation of a new electronic check platform. She was named Senior Vice President in 2010. In 2011, Ms. Connor was named the Chief Information Officer for the Retail Product Office (RPO). As the RPO's CIO, Ms. Connor had oversight for the technology platforms, functions, and projects supporting both ACH and Check payments that are processed and settled by the Federal Reserve, including oversight for modernizing the Federal Reserve’s ACH platform. She also served as a member of the RPO's Senior Leadership Team.
In April 2021, Ms. Connor transitioned to become the Tenth District CIO and Senior Vice President of the IT Division. She was promoted to her current position in June 2022.
Ms. Connor holds an MBA in finance, a Bachelor of Journalism, and an Associate Bachelor in Economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
