Omaha Branch Executive Nate Kauffman toured the University of Nebraska Medical Center last October. He had the opportunity to experience the advanced learning technology offered by the iEXCEL program at the Davis Global Center on UNMC’s campus, including the holographic theater and Laser CAVE 5 immersive environment. The Nebraska Economics and Business Association hosted the Great Plains Economics and Business Conference at the Omaha Branch last October. Omaha Branch Executive Nate Kauffman welcomed the group and shared an update on the regional and national economy. The Omaha Branch welcomed emerging leaders and young professionals from a range of businesses and nonprofits across the Omaha metro area for a roundtable discussion last November. This was an opportunity to hear their perspectives on conditions impacting the community and the economy. In August, Senior Vice President and Omaha Branch Executive Nate Kauffman met with several Omaha area healthcare leaders for a roundtable discussion at the University of Nebraska Medical Center to learn more about economic conditions in the healthcare field. At the Nebraska Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s July networking breakfast, Nate Kauffman shared an overview of the Federal Reserve and described the role of the Omaha Branch as a local connection to the nation’s central bank. During a tour of the Waterford Building in west Omaha last July, the Omaha Branch Board of Directors gained insights on recent trends in commercial real estate. Last June, Senior Vice President and Omaha Branch Executive spoke at the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce’s Summer Ag Forum in Hastings, Nebraska. As the Kansas City Fed’s principal expert on the agricultural economy, Nate Kauffman provided an update on financial conditions in the ag sector with members of Nebraska’s congressional delegation last summer at a panel discussion on the state of the farm economy hosted at Farm Credit Services of America.
