KANSAS CITY, Mo.– The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City released the June Manufacturing Survey today. According to Chad Wilkerson, vice president and economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, the survey revealed that Tenth District manufacturing activity remained strong, and expectations for future activity increased to a survey record high.
“Regional factory activity rose again in June and expectations for future activity were the highest in survey history,” said Wilkerson. “While the majority of firms continue to face increasing materials prices and labor shortages, many firms have also increased selling prices and capital expenditures for 2021.”Historical data, results from past surveys and release dates for future surveys can be found at https://kansascityfed.org/surveys/manufacturing-survey/.
