Michelle Bish was appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Community Development Advisory Council on Jan. 1, 2023. Bish is the executive director of the Northeast Workforce Development Board. She leads the development and provision of workforce services to job seekers and employers in seven rural counties of northeast Oklahoma. In that role, she has initiated innovative programs, including apprenticeship programs, sector partnerships, and work-based learning strategies.
Bish leads the region’s participation in the Federal Reserve’s Reinventing Our Communities initiative, focused on creating equitable workforce development strategies in rural communities.
Bish has served on the Oklahoma Jump$tart Coalition, Boys and Girls, and Club boards and is currently a Light of Hope board member.
Bish holds national certifications in workforce development and has completed professional development in management and leadership.
