Luke Woodward is Senior Vice President and head of the Research Division at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. He joined the Kansas City Fed in 2014 as an assistant vice president and has held senior leadership roles across a number of domestic and international payment programs related to the Federal Reserve’s role as a fiscal agent for the U.S. government.
In 2016, he was appointed vice president and assumed a role in the Bank’s Payments Strategy Division, where he led national initiatives. Before joining the Bank, Woodward gained significant international markets and payments experience as vice president of global operations at State Street Corp. While there, he led key programs related to capital markets, foreign exchange and collateral management, and was involved in implementing recommendations as part of the Treasury Market Practice Group.
He has led teams located in China, India, Canada and the Philippines in addition to completing assignments in Europe. Woodward is a native of Kansas City, Mo., and holds an MBA in finance from Rockhurst University.
