John Santner was appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Community Development Advisory Council on Jan. 1, 2013. Santner is the vice president for NeighborWorks® America’s Midwest Region. He supports the work of 56 nonprofit network organizations in 13 states,and he takes great pride in the work the NeighborWorks Network groups are doing to provide veterans with affordable housing.
A graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, Santner served on active duty in a teaching and quality control capacity for missile crew development. Santner earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Missouri and a Master of Divinity from University of Saint Mary of the Lake in Chicago. Santner is certified as an economic development finance professional through the National Development Council. He worked at a nonprofit community development organization that provided affordable housing in Kansas City before coming to NeighborWorks America in 1998.
