Denise I. Connor is senior vice president in charge of the Payment Director Project for the Federal Reserve System's Retail Products Office (RPO), which works to implement a more efficient check-processing system. She is also chief information officer for the RPO and leads application development efforts for the Central Business Administration Function operation of the System's Check and Automated Clearing House (ACH) areas. She also has administrative oversight for the Bank's Check Automation Services function, which supports check automation platforms throughout the System, and is responsible for the FedACH's Technology Transition Project. She is a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City's Management Committee, which is responsible for strategic planning and policy direction.

Ms. Connor joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in 1987 and was promoted to assistant vice president in 1998. In 2000, she was named vice president to establish the Central Check User Support Department as part of the System's check standardization initiative. She assumed additional responsibilities for other check IT support functions in 2005 and led the Federal Reserve System's efforts to analyze options to modernize the Check 21 processing platform. The Check Automation Services Department was created in 2005 to encompass all of these efforts. 

Ms. Connor holds an MBA in finance, a Bachelor of Journalism, and an Associate Bachelor of Economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
