The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Community Development Department developed CRA OneSource to connect bankers and community organizations with a wide variety of Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) tools from many agencies.

One new tool includes a recent, first-of-its-kind interview with Small Business Administration Administrator Maria Contreras-Sweet and new SBA tools. Other tools found on CRA One Source come from agencies such as the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council and the Federal Reserve System.

Map Your Community is a web-based mapping tool which allows users to create custom maps of Tenth District communities using 31 key economic and demographic indicators, such as lending activity, homeownership rates and CRA eligible census tracts.

CRA OneSource also includes a variety of videos, including:

  • An Introduction to CRA, a  video from the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. This seven minute video offers a base understanding of CRA, including a brief history, key elements and relevant terms.
  • The interview with Contreras-Sweet, her first at the Federal Reserve, about new tools to address funding and other small business-related technical resources.
  • Investment Connection spotlights: hear from nonprofits and bankers about their experience connecting through Investment Connection.
