Biography

Nicole Glaros joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Denver Branch Board of Directors in 2019. She previously served on the Tenth District Economic Advisory Council.

Ms. Glaros is an entrepreneur and has been mentoring, supporting, and investing in entrepreneurs for over 15 years. While earning her master’s degree at the University of Florida, she co-founded a tech startup that retailed products to the property management industry.

She took her learnings of how to scale companies and applied it to CTEK, an incubator in Colorado supporting tech startups in 2002 and helped grow CTEK from one to five offices across the state. In 2008 she joined Techstars, a global investor and startup accelerator as its first employee. She helped grow its investment portfolio from 10 companies in 2008 to over 3000 in 2022 with a market cap of over $147B, employing over 300 talented people in 19 countries. Currently, Ms. Glaros runs Phos, an investment firm committed to investing in and coaching early-stage software companies.

Ms. Glaros is currently on the board of One Way Ventures, Greater Colorado Venture Fund, the Leeds Board at the University of Colorado, and has previously been on the board of Pana through its acquisition to Coupa, Simple Energy through its acquisition to AES, NextBite, Greathorn, the National Venture Capital Association, Pledge1Percent Colorado, and more. She was named one of the Coolest People in New York Tech and an Extraordinary Woman in New York Tech by Business Insider, Marie Claire named her one of the New Guard, and Entrepreneur Magazine named her One of the Most 7 Powerful Women to watch. She has been featured on CNBC, Inc.com, and Huffington Post, and her talks have been featured at SXSW, TEDx, WebSummit, Pioneers Festival, Arctic festival, the University of Colorado, Real Leaders, @WomenatForbes Mentoring Moments and more.

Ms. Glaros is a National Outdoor Leadership School graduate and has been a competitive swimmer, triathlete, and boxer.

When not working with startups, Ms. Glaros enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, hiking, biking, skiing, and reading.
