About this event

Join us for the 10th annual Money Smart Day brought to you by the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Choose from a dozen free educational sessions covering a variety of money-related topics, including: avoiding financial traps, home buying basics, understanding credit and more. You can also get a copy of your credit report for free! 

The event is open to the public and registration is not necessary. All sessions will take place at the Kansas City Public Library, 14 West 10th Street, Kansas City, Mo. Free on-site parking is available.

    Self-led learning activities for youth. 

  • 10:30 - 2:30 PM Free Credit Reports and Reviews (Third Floor Computer Lab)

    Attendees can receive a free copy of their credit report and chat with an on-site credit counselor.

    It’s impossible to map a route to your destination if you don’t know where to start. This session will provide you with easy ways to track the money coming in and going out each month, providing you with a foundation for setting and achieving your financial goals.

    This session is for those who want to learn the home-buying process. Topics include mortgage terminology, money-saving tips for building a healthy down payment, financing options and discussing life events that could affect the home-buying experience.
