Join us for the ninth annual Money Smart Day brought to you by the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City! Choose from a dozen free educational sessions covering a variety of personal finance topics, including: home financing 101, understanding credit, avoiding financial traps and more. You can also get your credit report for free! 

The event is open to the public and registration is not necessary. All sessions will take place at the Kansas City Public Library, 14 West 10th Street, Kansas City, Mo. Free on-site parking is available.     Browse the main hall at the library, Kirk Hall, for informational brochures and financial literacy resources. 

  • 10:15 - 2:30 p.m. Self-led Learning Activities for Youth (Second Floor Children's Area)

    Self-led learning activities for youth. 

  • 10:15 - 2:30 p.m. Free Credit Reports and Reviews (Third Floor Block Biz Center)

    Attendees can receive a free copy of their credit report and sign up for an on-site, 20-minute session with a credit counselor.

    It is never too late to begin saving for retirement and you don’t need much money to begin. This session provides invaluable information about Roth IRAs and no-cost MyRA accounts. General investing basics, helpful financial tools and how to choose a financial adviser are also covered.
