Zach Markiewicz is a Specialist in Payments System Research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, where he is responsible for gathering market intelligence and advising policy makers on developments in the payments system. Mr. Markiewicz began his career with the Federal Reserve System in 2011 as an officer and a business leader for the Treasury Relations and Support Office at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. In 2012 he was selected to be an assistant vice president and market research manager for the Future Payments Team, a system-level group tasked with advising the Financial Services Policy Committee on payments strategy.
Prior to joining the Fed, Mr. Markiewicz was a senior manager of consumer insights and brand research for Anheuser-Busch Inc. He received a BS degree of psychology from Ohio State University and an MBA from Northwestern University.
