The program puts the power to create change in the hands of the community by forming a local leadership council of residents, neighborhood leaders, nonprofit leaders, church leaders and business owners, who will ultimately be responsible for managing the program.

The Kansas City Fed will:

  • Help the community get the program off the ground
  • Provide education and training to the leadership council
  • Help conduct measurements and evaluation of community conditions
  • Help with marketing
  • Help connect the community to organizations and funders that can provide resources and help create programs to achieve community established goals
