Don Greenwell was appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Community Development Advisory Council on Jan. 1, 2019. Greenwell is president of The Builders, a chapter of the AGC. The Builders seeks to improve lives through construction. It is a regional construction trade association representing more than 650 commercial contractors and stakeholders employing more than 25,000 people. The Kansas City Chapter-AGC is part of the largest national construction trade association.
Greenwell is a trustee and officer of employee benefit funds with aggregate assets in excess of $2B. The funds provide retirement benefits, health coverage and vocational training services. He is a committee member and past board member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefits and past board member of the Kansas City Area Development Council and the YMCA of Greater Kansas City. He served as chair of the Kansas City Labor-Management Council. The Kansas City Business Journal named him one of its “Power 100.” Charitable interests include Big Brothers and Big Sisters, United Way, the Scouts, faith groups, the Human Rights Campaign and the UN Refugee Agency.
Greenwell received his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
