Biography
James Dunn joined the Oklahoma City Branch Board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in 2008. He is the chairman of the Board of Directors for Mill Creek Lumber and Supply Company, Inc. and its subsidiaries. Mill Creek is a family-owned building materials company, founded in 1934, with 44 locations and approximately 350 full-time employees in Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas.
Mr. Dunn serves as vice chairman of the Tulsa Industrial Authority. He is an advisory director for the Arkansas River Corridor Development, Foundation for Tulsa Public Schools, and UP WITH TREES Organization. He is also a member of the Rotary Club of Tulsa. He is a past-chairman of the Tulsa Metro Chamber of Commerce, past-chairman of Tulsa Community College Foundation, and served as chairman of the board of trustees for the Rotary Club of Tulsa in 2001. Mr. Dunn has also been a director for the Indian Nations Council of Government and Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, as well as an advisory director of Tulsa Vision 2025.
Mr. Dunn holds a master’s degree in business administration from Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif., as well as a bachelor’s degree in engineering physics from Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colo. He lives in Tulsa with his wife, Barbara.
