The Nebraska Department of Banking and Finance has a variety of resources for consumers on mortgage and foreclosure assistance. This includes a brochure for consumers to know their rights under the Nebraska Foreclosure Protection Act. The President's Advisory Council on Financial Literacy was formed to develop recommendations on how to better educate people from all walks of life on matters pertaining to their finances. Check out their guidance on dealing with your finances in turbulent times. The Jump$tart Coalition announced the results of its 2008 Survey of Personal Financial Literacy among high school and college students. Nebraska students participated for the first time; state information is available in the "Media Information" section of this site. |
