Did You Know?

Businesses, service providers and professionals are invited to the training program "Economic Stimulus 2009: What's In It for Me?" on June 17 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This free program will explore the benefits and consequences of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 for your customers and clients. Click here for a flyer with reservation information. Save the date: The Get on Board...Moving Nebraskans Toward a Better Tomorrow Conference will be August 5, 2009 at the Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln. Follow the link above to access information about this year and previous years' conferences. The President's Advisory Council on Financial Literacy was formed to develop recommendations on how to better educate people from all walks of life on matters pertaining to their finances. Check out their guidance on dealing with your finances in turbulent times. The Jump$tart Coalition announced the results of its 2008 Survey of Personal Financial Literacy among high school and college students. Nebraska students participated for the first time; state information is available in the "Media Information" section of this site.
