Organized in 2004 as an independent nonprofit organization, the Oklahoma Jump$tart Coalition brings together over 65 organizations from across the state to strengthen the financial knowledge and skills of all Oklahomans. |

| The Oklahoma Jump$tart Coalition is a proud affiliate of the National Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy. The National Jump$tart Coalition, based in Washington, D.C., was first convened in 1995 and consists of over 200 organizations committed to improving the financial literacy of America's youth. | Goals |

| Goal 1: Increase financial literacy for all Oklahoma citizens. |
- Promote financial literacy for all Oklahomans, both youth and adults.
- Support the integration of personal finance education into existing math curriculum standards in grades K-12.
- Promote professional development in financial literacy for Oklahoma educators based on the Jump$tart National Standards in Personal Finance

| Goal 2: Increase public awareness of the need for greater financial literacy. |
- Publicize the benefits of making smart money choices and being a savvy consumer.
- Initiate a statewide campaign to increase the financial decision-making skills of all Oklahomans.

| Goal 3: Promote business, government and community involvement in the activities and programs of the Oklahoma Jump$tart Coalition. |
- Encourage other entities with similar missions to participate.
- Seek appropriate partners for future activities.

| Goal 4: Assist partners in their financial literacy efforts. |
- Promote communication and cooperation among Oklahoma Coalition members.
- Strengthen the Coalition by assisting others in promoting financial literacy.
