Financial Education in the Workplace

The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Denver Branch hosted its Financial Education in the Workplace seminar on Nov. 2, 2011.

The seminar was designed to encourage business leaders and human resource professionals to take a closer look at incorporating financial education in the workplace.

Nestle Prepared Foods and the Pinnacle Foods Corporation showed attendees firsthand the benefits of implementing a financial education program. The event also featured an array of speakers from the Bank and community groups, including:
  • Laurie Brednich, director of Corporate Benefits and LiveLife, Pinnacle Foods Corporation
  • Kelly Edmiston, senior economist, Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City
  • John Hope Bryant, chairman and CEO of Operation HOPE
  • Brent Neiser, senior director of Strategic Programs and Alliances, National Endowment for Financial Education
  • Susie Stirling, human resources director, Nestle Prepared Foods Company
