Banking Supervision

The Kansas City Fed has supervisory and regulatory authority over a wide range of banking institutions and activities within the Tenth Federal Reserve District. We work with other federal and state supervisory authorities to ensure the safety and soundness of banking institutions and fair and equitable treatment of consumers in financial transactions.

Economic Research

The Economic Research department conducts research on monetary policy, the payments system and the Tenth Federal Reserve District's economic geography, and communicates the results to policymakers, other researchers and the public.
