Reports and Publications

  • Economic Review
    The quarterly research publication focuses on economic issues of relevance to the Federal Reserve, including macroeconomics and monetary policy, financial markets, and regional and international economics. Recent articles have included “Social Security and Medicare: The Impending Fiscal Challenge” and “Long Term Perspectives on the Yield Curve and Monetary Policy.”

  • Main Street Economist
    The online publication focuses on issues facing rural America, its agricultural economy, and regional development. Recent articles have explored the need for cooperation among private institutions and public entities to create regional partnerships.

  • Payments System Research Briefing
    The online publication focuses on a range of payments topics, including methods of payments, developments in payments networks, and various participants’ roles in the payments system. Recent articles have included “Payments Fraud: Consumer Considerations” and “Contactless: The Next Payment Wave?” 

  • Survey of Manufacturers
    The monthly survey relies on input from approximately 160 manufacturing establishments across the seven states of the Tenth Federal Reserve District based on geographic location, industry mix, and size. The survey tracks changes in several indicators of manufacturing activity, including production and shipments, changes in prices of raw materials and finished products, and projected future activity.The survey is released on the last Thursday of every month and is available in advance to the media on an embargoed basis.
