| The New Power of
Regions: A Policy Focus for Rural America was hosted by the Center for
the Study of Rural America on May 9-10, 2002. The conference featured
a diversified program and brought together the nation's economic experts,
rural business and financial leaders, and public officials to analyze
regional competitiveness in rural areas. Participants discussed why regional
synergies are important to the rural economy and how businesses and
communities can build critical mass through alliances and partnerships.
Finally, a regional approach to public policy was addressed. |
