Educational Assistance

Through educational assistance, employees are encouraged to strive for personal improvement and to obtain further knowledge that will permit them to perform their present jobs more effectively and/or increase their potential for progression to other positions within the Bank. Educational Assistance guidelines include:
  • The Bank’s educational assistance program helps cover the cost of tuition, required fees for approved courses, and half the cost of textbooks.
  • The Bank offers the IRS maximum amounts that an employer can provide to its employees through educational assistance for both full time and part time employees (currently $5,250 for full-time and $2,625 for part-time).
  • The Bank provides assistance for courses related to an employee’s current work assignment or general courses taken as part of an approved degree program in a business-related field.
  • Courses at accredited local colleges and universities, and technical and correspondence schools are accepted.
  • To qualify for educational assistance, all employees must work for the Bank for at least three months, have good overall performance, and meet performance expectations at the time of enrollment.
