Stacey Schreft is a Vice President and Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. As a specialist in macroeconomic and monetary economic issues, her work has been cited widely in both professional journals and the press. Her research topics range from the use of cash, credit, and electronic payments to the fragility of an economy's financial system. Stacey earned her bachelor's degree in economics from Smith College and master's and doctorate in economics from the University of Minnesota. Before joining the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, she was an assistant professor of economics at Michigan State University, an associate research officer and economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, and a visiting professor of finance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
